The story of Little Kingdom School is a story of vision, perseverance and a deep-rooted belief that quality education can transform a community.
The journey began with the vision of Ms. Hema, whose early years were surrounded by education and educators. Coming from a family where several members were teachers, she grew up listening to numerous conversations about teaching, learning, children and the purpose of education. These experiences gradually nurtured in her a strong interest in education and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the field.
An important turning point in her journey came when she appeared for the UPSC examination. Although she did not succeed in the examination, the experience left her with a powerful realisation. She observed that a significant portion of the questions was rooted in the NCERT curriculum and concepts. This made her reflect on the importance of providing children with a strong conceptual foundation from their formative years.
This thought led to a larger question: Why should the children of Tirupur not have access to the same quality and curriculum that could open doors to opportunities across the country?
Tirupur, popularly known as the “Dollar City” of India, was already making its mark globally through its textile and business enterprise. Ms. Hema strongly believed that the city should also find a place on the progression map of education. She envisioned an institution that would go beyond conventional schooling and provide children with a progressive, structured and nationally aligned educational experience.
Driven by this vision, Little Kingdom School was established in 1999, with the aspiration of bringing the CBSE pattern of education to Tirupur. The school went on to become a pioneering institution in the city, growing steadily from its humble beginnings into an institution committed to academic excellence, values, discipline, skills and holistic development.
Over the years, Little Kingdom has evolved with changing educational needs while remaining anchored to its foundational philosophy. Its journey has been shaped by passion, perseverance, continuous learning and the courage to embrace change.
The school’s motto, “Ever Onwards,” reflects this very spirit — a commitment to keep moving forward, to remain progressive in thought and to prepare students not merely for examinations, but for life.
From its inception, Little Kingdom School has believed that education is not simply about knowing more, but about becoming more. The institution continues to carry forward Ms. Hema’s original vision: to provide children with meaningful education that equips them to think independently, act responsibly and move confidently towards a changing future.
What began as one woman’s reflection on education has grown into a larger educational journey — a journey that continues to move Ever Onwards.
